Chair cup holder, side table or Steadi?
Choose the part of the tournament setup that solves your actual problem.

When the chair already has a holder
Try the chair’s intended drink holder first and follow its instructions. A built-in pocket or ring uses the chair as support. If it holds your drink comfortably, Steadi may be unnecessary there. Do not force Steadi’s wide base into a fabric pocket or balance it across a ring.
When you need a surface
A stable side table can provide room for a drink, phone and snack. GCI’s Slim-Fold Director’s Chair is one example of a chair with a fold-out table and built-in cup holder. Check the specific chair and table instructions; Steadi is not a substitute for their weight limits or setup requirements.
When a freestanding holder is useful
Steadi travels with a compatible drink and can rest on a suitable table without clamping to it. The tradeoff is footprint: allow the full 5.2 inches plus reaching room. Choose a proper attachment if the task is holding a drink on a moving wagon or a narrow chair arm.
